Nature's Takeover

Since I was a kid I have felt a strong connection to nature. Days spent outside barefoot running around, playing in the dirt and enjoying all nature has to offer. My grandmother has always been a gardener planting new flowers and ferns in the backyard to build an even better environment, and she was the inspiration for this series. I wanted to capture mother nature breaking through and reclaiming what originally was hers. There are many places where humans once thrived but one day picked up and left, leaving behind abandoned homes, buildings, shopping malls, and castles. Humanity destroys so much of mother nature to build but then abandons their creation, whether they left because the money dried up or an area became contaminated.
